クリスマスイブにも「ネパールのごちそう jujudhau ズーズーダゥ」さんでクリスマスバージョンのスペシャルダルバートを頂きました。
ダルはマス、ムスロ、ラハル、チャナ、ガハットの 5種類のミックス、
マスはチキン、
タルカリは茄子、じゃが芋、チャナです。
アチャールは 3種類、果物シリーズは林檎と 3種類のビーツのアチャール、
ブロッコリーと鶏肉のアチャール、
里芋とさつま芋のアチャール、
青菜炒め、パパドゥ、チキンのミートボールも添えられました。
家族がタンドリーチキン、ナン、カリーのラマイロセットをお願いしましたので、そのタンドリーチキンです。
食後のズーズーダゥと
チヤも頂きました。
お正月飾りも売られています。
The Kathmandu Post の「Christmas celebrated in Kathmandu」の記事にあるように、キリスト教徒はほんのわずかで、ヒンドゥー教徒が多数のネパールでもクリスマスは重要な行事になっている様です。
Nepali people, despite a majority of them are Hindu, has jumped into the bandwagon of celebrating Christmas recently. Although people adopting Christian faith accounts for only 1.42 percent of the population, people from other faith have been taking the festival for merrymaking. Restaurants, shopping complexes and major thoroughfare were decked up with glittering lights decorated in Xmas tree signaling the arrival of festival. The government had declared the Christmas Day as a public holiday.
